Aspen Plant Scheduler™

Aspen Plant Scheduler is a family of products that provides companies within the Process Industry optimal schedule generation and analysis, for significant benefits in the areas of increased throughput, reduced inventory and expediting costs, and improved customer service.

Planning Board
The Production schedule is readily viewed and manipulated via an interactive Gantt chart called the Planning Board. Drag-and-drop schedule modifications are accompanied by inventory projections and extensive exception reporting to assist the scheduler in visualizing the impact of changes, especially useful when dealing with non-routine events in real-time, such as unexpected spikes in demand, outages of raw material, or equipment breakdowns. Scheduled activities can be displayed by product, product family, setup criteria, rate, or JIT status via multiple color options.

Reports
The Reporting tool boasts powerful reporting capabilities. Template style reports are easily modified to meet organizational requirements.

Optimering
Aspen Plant Scheduler quickly determines the ideal production schedule and sequence. An existing schedule and sequence can be analyzed and their feasibility determined - considering both inventory and capacity - dynamically determining timing requirements across multiple stages of production and linking inventories and production activities to customer orders and net forecast. For non-feasible situations, the optimization will recommend a feasible solution.

Integration
Aspen Plant Scheduler can be integrated via standard interfaces to Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, e.g. SAP, as well as more production related systems like MES and LIMS.

Through integration of Aspen Batch.21™ and the Planning Board, customers will get unique possibilities of visualizing scheduled batches from Aspen Plant Scheduler together with results for corresponding batches stored in Batch.21.

Correspondingly the production schedules can be integrated with PlantPerformance® from PlantVision to visualize together for instance production results, stoppages, quality shortages etc.
